Sheltering Vehicle (Part Two)

Urbanism

Fourth Year

Spring 2021: Studio 4B

After I explored and tested architectural design as it relates to one or more issues relevant to contemporary architectural discourse, I made four small experimental physical models at a scale of 1/8" from materials that I could find at home to test the strategy of rolling, scooting, gliding, pedaling, and moving. I had to choose my favorite one to digitize. I drew the one that I decided on with all details (pieces) that I built to create a homeless shelter and an alternative self-sufficient nomadic vehicle with a business for selling pieces of jewelry made of recycled materials. I made animations to illustrate the vehicle's mechanical design and how I constructed/assembled it.

Programs used: Rhino, illustrator, and Photoshop.
