Fall 2019: Studio 3A

 House and Housing

_DSC0936m.png

I designed a residence based on deep research into context, housing trends, and needs of contemporary families and modern households. The house has working and living spaces for multi-generation. The site is a standard Chicago lot, 25x125 feet, with a rear alley, so I designed the house with two levels; the first floor has two entrances from the front; one is for working space the other is for entering the house. The house serves everyday life. The first floor has a kitchen, restroom, dining, and relaxing spaces. Indoor-outdoor space with glassing roof and folding doors open to the yard during summer and a rear yard. The second floor has four bedrooms. Two of them overlook the yard; the other two bedrooms have a shared balcony. Also, the second story has a bathroom.

Programs used: ArchiCAD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
